December Daily 2022 - Day 9

Hello! Halfway through January and I'm here to share Day 9/Story 9 in my December Daily album/junk journal. I was hoping to finish my album by the end of January, but I don't think that's going to happen. BUT I am not putting it away until next year and am going to keep plugging away at it until it's done!

On Friday, December 9th, I found myself cozy in my house while my hubby + our Chow Chow Snow snoozed and snored nearby. Ancient Aliens (what we affectionately call 'my bedtime stories') was playing in the background. I was doing some blog writing and looking thru the new One Little Word products + workshop for 2023. It was such a cozy moment, so peaceful, so quiet, so relaxing + calm that I wanted to document it.

For the page, I decided I wanted to keep that 'cozy vibe' going to the page, so I created a junk journal page with lots of layers and texture. The background page is actually a photo of a girl drinking tea/a tea kettle from a Bella Grace magazine.  On top of that, I used a stencil from Ali Edwards + some blue embossing powder to emboss leaves on the page (I love how the leaves kinda remind me of steam coming out of the tea kettle).

On top of the embossed page, I did lots of layering: some scraps I have used on previous pages (including one of Brandi Kincaid's Extravagant Hope letters), a doily, scrapbook paper. Basically anything I could find within reach on my desk. I cut a leaf and a bear image from some fabric I ordered from Clique Kits (I liked the blue on the leaf and the bear reminded me of Snow, who we call our bear sometimes)

To finish off, I added my journaling to a library card from I Love It All shop, some washi tape on top of that, some stamping. I added "just another day in our crazy home" even though this photo + story is quite peaceful, because there are many times where that is not the case! (Having a Chow Chow, two young bunnies, and us, there's always something going on!)

I just tucked the journaling card behind all of the layers. I added a '9' and stapled that to the page. And finally stamped 'COZY' using an alphabet stamp from Kerri Bradford Studios, and added a 'Christmas' die cut sticker and some stars.
And here's a final look at the page in my album (with a peek at the next story/page). I really love the feel of this one and how this one turned out. It's super cozy + has a lot of nice texture and I really just love the whole vibe!

xoxo
