January Stories by the Month Kit pages
Hello! I meant to share my scrapbooking plans for 2023, but instead I just started doing them, which isn't such a bad thing, right? I may still share a post about my scrapbooking plans for 2023 at some point, but in the meantime, I hope I can inspire you with what I share.
Right now, I do know two main things happening with my scrapbooking: 1) I am documenting my memories, daily + longer stories, digitally. These pages will be printed in a photobok of some sort. 2) When I feel like doing physical scrapbooking, just creating with my hands (or I don't feel like being on the computer), I am doing junk journaling.
Two of the kits I signed up for to help with my digital scrapbooking is the Ali Edwards Story Kit and Stories by the Month kit, in digital format. Today I'm sharing some pages I created using the January Stories by the Month ("SBTM") kit.

Besides the stitching + misting, I have been trying to use mainly the kit components so I'm using what I'm paying for. I also created some "fun" filler pages, like the first one above, just to put in my digital album so it will read more like a book. The second page above is dedicated to the new journey I'm starting with my One Little Word for 2023 (nurture).

Some pages will be double page spreads like the ones above and the ones below. The two pages above are about us finally purchasing a new couch and just how much we are enjoying it as a family. I enjoyed taking photos of the process of our new couch. We bought a Lovesac couch which is a modular couch that comes in pieces, which you then put together. You can move it any which way you want by just taking some clamps off and rearranging it, and the covers are machine-washable. It was kind of expensive, but soooo worth it and it works for us so much.

The two pages above is about a fun Saturday date I had in downtown Aurora with my sister. I've been trying to have more unscheduled "down time" and so far it's been going good. We got our hair done then went to visit a good friend at one of my FAV small business shops, Wyckwood House. They have a cocktail bar now and I got a super yummy non-alcoholic drink! We also stopped at a store I've been wanting to stop at literally FOREVER, met Mango the parrot, and bought a beautiful embroidered sunflower shirt from Mexico! (They had so many catrinas there (sugar skulls) and I cannot wait to go back and buy more stuff for my house!).

And the final two pages using the kit. Throughout the month, I kept track of things going on for both me + hubby together and me individually, and at the end of the month, decided to put some of this into a page. It's mostly things I wouldn't necessarily put in a page by itself but as a whole, make up the big picture of our lives. (I'm hoping to continue this and have two pages like this every month). (I also blocked out some personal journaling. While I am totally open with sharing most of my story, I try to respect others that get mentioned in my story, and extremely personal things that have happened/happen to me).
Thank you for taking the time to look at my pages! If you have any questions about my process, feel free to reach out and let me know!
xoxo
