December Daily 2022 - Day 1

Hi! Today I'm sharing Day 1 in my December Daily album for 2022 (if you don't know what I'm talking about, please see this post). As discussed in my last post, I am working in an accordion-style album. 

The story from Day 1 is about decorating at our church for Christmas, and it actually happened the week after Thanksgiving. It happened to be the event that kicked off the holiday season for us. Hubby joined me at church (I'm always grateful when he feels well enough to join me) and then we stayed for Christmas music + all the twinkle lights + lunch + friends. It was so nice. 

The song Christmas Lights by Coldplay definitely has my heart in this season, as I'm living with the toughness that is this season right alongside the brightness. I used a digital patterned paper from Humble + Create that I printed on vellum paper with the lyrics from the song (using a digital alphabet stamp from Ali Edwards). I just love how this turned out so much.

The vellum paper is a flip page to the side, which reveals two photos, some journaling, and another flip-up. I took a handful of photos at this event, but these two of my hubby were my FAV. I just love his smile in that first one. (swoon my heart!)

A look at the two flip-ups that reveal my journaling. I added washi tape to the top of the flip-ups and to the side to adhere this page together. The background paper is from a Bella Grace magazine (I love pulling images from those magazines for junk journaling). 

Honestly, the best start to my album.
